I am using Nano IPS and it is far much better than old VA I had before. Old one was 32GK650F-B and now I have is 32GP850-B (F in old panel was for AMD only not Nvidia supported). New one supports both. Black level of course won't be as good as VA but in old VA the colour gamut and volume was significantly a lot less than new Nano IPS. The old VA was on par with sRGB but new one is on par with DCI-P3 which is a lot better than sRGB. Sony TV I have got is X900H and it has triluminos VA panel but is much more richer colours than old VA monitor due to Sony triluminos and has much better deep black contrast than old VA monitor somehow though. I prefer proper IPS monitor with DP to get better result from colour volume and coverage than through HDMI if you are into photo editing and video editing which are the most important part of colour critical work. Anyway your demonstrating shows pretty much similar to what I had done with both new and old.
Wait, I see that from the far left side of the VA panel, the colors and picture is as good as IPS. Only the right side of the VA model looks washed out, but I think this is because of the camera angle of the video! If you tilt the VA panel more horizontal to the camera, the colors will look better on video! :)
One cost US 300 and the other cost US 550 in my country. Is the IPS really worth the difference? Also can these monitors fix on a standard VESA mount rotating arm dual display stand or do you need a kit?
Thanks for looking. If the IPS is $550, I think it is expensive. I bought mine for about $370, $116 more than the VA but I think it's worth it. (current dollar calculations). But I think the price varies from country to country. Both are VESA compliant.
